PRAYER REQUESTS

  Jim Blue: “A prayers of thanks to you, my Lord, for the opportunities you give me to serve the residents at His Way Recovery. The feelings of love that I receive are a cherished reward. Amen.”

  Darrell Brown: “We are happy to announce that Jessica and I are married. We will still be having our ceremony March 19 at Central.”

  Please keep Guy Brown, father of Nathan Brown, is now in rehab after having surgery for a broken hip. You may send cards to him at Nathan and Deborah Brown’s house (220 Sam Thomas Road, Harvest, AL 35749) and Nathan will take them to his dad. (Update: Mr. Brown fell again Monday night and fractured his humerus. He is in the Decatur Morgan Hospital.)

  Lisa Cooper: “Please pray for my friend, Paula, who has COVID a long time and various other illnesses. She’s been sick with one thing after another for 2 years. In her despair she has started drinking again after 2 years of sobriety.”

  Dittos: “Pray for marriages and relationships that we each behave in a godly way to each other.”

  Please keep Betty Evans (former member) in your prayers. She is in ICU at the Madison Hospital. No visitors at this time. (Update: She is now off the ventilator.)

  Nikki Holley: “Prayers for my children/family. Pray that they keep God at the forefront of their minds.”

  Kathleen Lowery: “Monroe is one month old. We rejoice that he was moved to a step-down room. Specific prayers: 1) That he passes his swallowing tests so he can learn to take a bottle. 2) That he starts gaining weight. 3) For healing of his scars on his chest and abdomen.”

  Jodi Moore is in Huntsville Hospital, Room 357.

  Tim McKee is in the ICU at Crestwood Hospital on a ventilator. Please keep him and the family in your prayers. No visitors at this time.

  Donna Phillips: “Pray for continued healing for Corey Sheaks.”

  Tom and Selwyn Reynolds: “Please ask God to strengthen and encourage our brothers and sisters who live in places where they risk their lives to follow Jesus.”

TRUNK OR TREAT

This year our Trunk or Treat event will be on Monday, October 31st, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. We will need lots of help with the following:

  1. Kitchen Helpers (We are providing hot dogs, chips, cookies, popcorn, and water.)
  2. Meeters & Greeters
  3. Lots of Candy – Need in case some of our cars run out.
  4. Decorated Vehicles (Please note if you are decorating your vehicle, you are also providing candy to give out at your vehicle. You will also need to be here early in order to set up and be ready by 6:00.)

Everyone is invited to come and help in this event. Please be praying for the church and this outreach to our community.
