MARCH 1, 2023

IN THE HOSPITAL

Bill Ashburn, father of Jim Ashburn, is in Huntsville Hospital, Room 469.

Please pray for Sandy Oden, who is in Huntsville Hospital, Room 609.

PRAYER REQUESTS

Jim Ashburn: “My dad, Bill Ashburn, is back in the hospital for the third time since the new year. This time to have a kidney stone removed. Please pray this resolves his recent flood of health issues.” (Update: Mr. Ashburn is in room 469 at Huntsville Hospital.)

Jim Blue: “Dear Lord, Help me make good decisions in life. Wise thoughts come from prayer. Amen!!”

Dot Bowen: “Prayer request for safe travel to Kentucky today and for Mysteree as she’s having oral surgery Tuesday morning.”

Richard Brown: “At this moment, Psalms 118:24 floods into my mind: "This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." It is such a joy to be with my church family again and to say personally, on behalf of Sandra and me and our daughters and their families, thank you from the bottom of our hearts to each and every one of you who have reached out and lifted us up in so many different ways, as I faced the challenge of pancreatic cancer. Truly the grace of God has come down on us through you. Several have asked about my progress. The healing of the surgical wound continues to progress very well. The surgeon said it will take several months to fully heal. We met with the oncologist last Friday. Treatment options and life expectancy were discussed, but we did not select a specific treatment protocol, as I had expected. We are to meet again in two weeks to define the path forward. As recorded in the book of James, "The prayer of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect." Your continuing in prayer about this matter will be appreciated very much. Again, thank you so much for lifting up me and my family physically and spiritually. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.”

Greg Cornelius: “Kara is not feeling well. Please pray that her health is restored soon.”

Caroline Gibbs: “Dear Central family, Hope all is well. I have a few prayer requests. Please pray for me and my group from school as we are traveling to Ireland and will be gone from March 1st- March 9th for safe travels there and throughout the trip. Please pray that we will all be safe while we are away. Also, please pray for my Great-Great Aunt Nell (my great-great grandmother’s sister) as she is on Hospice and isn’t doing too well. Please pray for her to be comfortable and for her to get better and that she won’t pass until after I get back from my trip God willingly. Please pray that my nerves will be calm and that I won’t over worry while I’m on my trip. Please pray that I will finish this semester strong and do well on all the rest of my assignments that I have. Please pray for my father and his safe travels while he will be out of town next week!!! Thanks!!! Love you all and miss you all!!”

Melanie Gipson: “Pray for the family of Melanie Gipson’s Aunt Cindy. She passed away February 19th. Pray for family through this time of grief process.”

Latest update on Joan Hacker from her daughter, Cathy: “Joan has been moved to a rehab place – Unity Health Specialty Care, 1200 South Main, Room 423, Searcy, AR 72143. She is doing great – strong and working hard in all her therapy sessions.” Please continue to pray for her healing. (Today’s update from one of her daughters: “Mom is working hard in rehab. She still has speech issues.”)

Adam Heinrich: “Pray for all those at His Way and staff.”

Charlie and Barbara Hopkins: “Please pray for Pati Dobbs who is still recovering from surgery and has dental surgery to deal with soon. She misses everyone so much.”

Brandon Houk: “Pray for everybody at His Way to keep striving and not to give up. And for the new guys it gets easier – don’t give up.”

John Kuhn Family: “Please pray for our friend, Christina Ray. She was taken to the hospital last night with seizure/stroke like symptoms. Also remember the family of Thomas Henderson as they walk through this season of grief following his death. And remember John as he has some important decisions to make with work. Pray for wisdom, direction, and protection.”

Johnny Kuhn: “Please pray for peace in hard times and courage when I’m afraid. And please pray for Robert Wade in his time of hardship.”

Dean and Sandy Oden: “Please pray for the family of Gil O’Rear, who died Saturday, February 25th. He was the father of our son-in-law, Jeff, and a good friend.”
